We are making our dream come true: recording a CD of lullabies from around the world!

In preparation for our 30th anniversary, the women’s choir Voxalba recorded our third CD, based on lullabies from around the world, both traditional and by contemporary composers.

These works highlight the richness of cradle songs, where the gentleness of the melodies is brought fully to the fore. We aim to bring this sound closer to all audiences, especially families.

Featuring pieces with piano, a cappella works, from different continents and contemporary composers, the recording takes us to places as diverse as northern Russia or the Kenyan desert, passing through the Mediterranean shores, all united by the warm, essential breath of those moments when we lull a child to sleep.

This project is especially meaningful to us, as a women’s choir: many of our singers have experienced motherhood, and we wish to share through our voices all the emotions evoked by the works selected for this CD.
